In memory of Thoibi Mukherjee..
Extraordinary girl Thoibi Mukherjee story-many people may have heard the name of 16-year-old Thaibi Mukherjee by now. They have heard about her excellent secondary school results—she stunned everyone by scoring 96.29 percent marks, 674 marks. But today, when everyone is floating in a tide of happiness after receiving the results, only silence and tears are spread in Thoibi’s house. Because, this extraordinary girl is no longer with us.
Thoibi was equally good not only in studies, but also in singing, drawing, literature—in everything. She is the pride of Umarani Garai School in Asansol(West Bengal, India). Her father is a homeopathic doctor, her mother is a housewife. Quiet since childhood, but she was very focused on her studies.
Thoibi was affected by liver jaundice before the secondary school exams. She passed the exams despite severe stomach pain—only on the day of the Bengali exam she was somewhat healthy, and there she got 99. 98 in math, 98 in life science, 97 in physics… Everyone was surprised by such results. But the outcome was very cruel—Thoibi collapsed in the lap of death on April 16.
The family’s last effort was to save Thoibi,One crore was needed for treatment. Many people from the city, school, and social media came forward and raise about 45 lakh. But it all ended before the time.
Today, Thoibi’s parents are not at home,Because they are not emotionally strong enough to see their daughter’s brilliant results, because Thoibi is not present with them today.. Only her grandfather and grandmother are there & holding the picture of her granddaughter and soaking her eyes in tears.
Thoibi’s story makes us cry and think. How untimely the path of a potential stopped. Yet this story is not only sad,it is also a shining example of courage, struggle, and indomitable talent.
With respect to Thoibi, it is desirable that her story makes us more humane.
